The 42nd edition of the Skopje Summer Festival has started
On the first day of summer and the World Music Day, the 42nd edition of the Skopje Summer Festival started last night, which is traditionally held every year from June 21 to July 31.
The festival started with the wordless opera “From the Orchestra for the Audience”, which took place in the hall of the National Opera and Ballet, and the Mayor of the City of Skopje, Petre Shilegov, also addressed the audience.
This year as well, most of the program of “Skopje Summer 2021” will be dedicated to domestic performers, but the festival opens its doors for international cooperation, and guests from Austria, Germany, Canada, Serbia, Croatia have been announced. from Montenegro.
The Skopje Summer Festival is organized by the Directorate of Culture and Arts of Skopje, under the general auspices of the City of Skopje.
This year, most of the program of “Skopje Summer 2021” will be dedicated to domestic performers, but the festival opens its doors to international cooperation. Some of the guest performers are from Austria, Germany, Canada, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro.
